1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you register and use the app:

• Account information: your name and email address, used to create and identify your account.
• Tournament data: fish catches you submit (species, length, timestamp) associated with your team.
• Device token: a push notification token so we can send you tournament updates and catch confirmations. You can opt out in the app's Profile screen.
• Photos and roster details: if the tournament director adds a profile photo or a short biography for you, they are stored with your account and shown to other members on the Meet the Anglers page.
• Service diagnostics: every Google Firebase component the app is built on — sign-in, the tournament database, file storage and push notifications — sends Google a small amount of technical data of its own, such as an app installation identifier and operational or delivery diagnostics. Google uses it to run and improve those services. It is not linked to your identity, we do not receive it as part of your profile, and it is never used to track you or for advertising.

We do not collect precise GPS location, and the app does not request access to your location.

You may sign in with Apple. If you choose Apple's Hide My Email option, we receive and store a private relay address rather than your real one; we treat it exactly as we would any other email address.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and maintain your account.
• To record and display tournament standings and catch history.
• To send push notifications about tournament events (optional).

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), hosted in North America. Firebase's privacy practices are described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

4. Data Retention and Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app: open the Profile tab and choose Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, your profile, your roster biography and your photo, and it cannot be undone. You may also contact us at the email above if you would prefer we do it for you.

Your catches remain on the tournament board, no longer linked to you. Tournament results are a shared record: removing one angler's catches would change other teams' standings and rewrite finished tournaments, so we keep the catch records and detach them from your identity instead. They no longer carry your name, and nothing in the app associates them with you once your account is gone.

Account and tournament data are otherwise retained for the duration of the tournament season and its historical records.

5. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
